Nah, every 3D Platformer DOES look like Mario.

You know…I didn’t really think about that until now…yeah…I see it. Like HD Hat in Time (especially that purple guy’s eyes combined with his purple-ness). Still SUPER excited for the game🤩👍🏻

The problem is that A Hat In Time looks like every other 3D platform. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing. I’ll be taking my cookie to go.

I think it's that slightly dusky white balancing and light cel shading is so rare outside that and Wind Waker in mainstream audiences. So everyone often associates with the former when it's a platformer. Purple man ain't helping.

I always wondered if Gears for Breakfast's inspiration for Snatcher was the same character that inspired DK for us: The cursed Paper Mario chest.
