I saw them around about this time in the Apollo, Glasgow. They weren't that well known in the area at that time and there was a large contingent of American servicemen from the nuclear submarine base at Faslane close to Glasgow.

Ronnie van zant passing was such a heartbreaking for southern rock. They were a special band. One of the best bands ever.
