Why would you love this guy? Losing is part of the process to grow, to learn, to find out what you want in life. Everyone loses that is called sport

U know what type of coach preaches this? A loser.

This coach absolutely is sending an age-inappropriate message to these kids. Promoting winning is not wrong, but not helping these young kids understand the lessons when losing is terrible. Then, to deride a father trying to help a child prioritize having fun is wholly unacceptable. This coach should immediately be relieved of his coaching duties and banished from coaching younger kids. Vince - youโre wrong on this one!

He's a fool. Telling young boys that their father is a loser is borderline cultic abuse. His dad must have been a "winner."

Little League? Please! Coach is a bum.

Telling a kid his dad is a loser is ridiculous. My bet is this coach never won much of anything. I coached youth baseball for 40+ years and I would have told any kid I ever coached that the #1 objective is having fun. That never once stopped my teams from winning.

Respecting a dad is far more important, I donโt care what dad youโre talking about. Undermining a parent is criminal.

For god's sake they're kids. Let them have fun, because once you become an adult. The fun ends.

Obviously a majority of people in these comments have never seen his videos. Dudeโs funny and his players and their families love him.

That would be correct!!! Love this coach

Coach is the loser.

My favorite coach..๐

Finally, thereโs a difference again!!

Agreed!

You never criticize a childโs father. The purpose of playing baseball is to have fun, learn the game, appreciate the game. When theyโre 12 years old, they will not remember whether they won or lost that game. They just want to have a snack afterwards.

Iโd be willing to bet that all the majority of negative comments about his message come mostly from anyone born after the 1980โs when the โwokeโ and โpolitically correctโ generations began to air their โsensitiveโ feelings !!

So many wet wipes in the world now, no wonder there's so many confused kids. Winning mentality breeds winners

I agree. Why play if you aren't out there with the intent to win? However, if you lose, even doing your best, you need to learn to play better.

he's mocking people like you!

Uhh what?? As a coach I totally disagree with this...you can't always control outcomes. Like winning and losing. That's life. You CAN control process...effort, attitude, focus. THAT is the true message. This is junk, and puts pressure on the kids that shouldn't be there.

As an 8u coach, you can definitely prep the kids better than other teams, etc But at 8u theres a lot of luck Luck of is your best player wanting to be there Bases loaded, does the team hit it to the terrible kid in RF or to the best player at SS There's so many variables that taking it seriously is dumb

Ammusing...this guy teaching kids about winning and losing...he probably has a lot of experience with the latter

I like his Savannah Sand Gnats hat and shirt

There are three types of people in the world. Those who can count and those who can't.

He is a great coach

Hahaha

What an assโฆ these kids are too young to be spewing this crap.

Heโs clearly blackout drunk, he should be in jail

The guy in a green hat is a loser.

I learned a lot more from losing than I did when I won

Exactly!

Everyone is responding with highly thought out explanations on this guys impact on kids, whether or not it is appropriate. Me, Iโm laughing my ass off!!!!

For the ones crying about this coach out there, he's talking about the winners mentality. Baseball is a very difficult sport because you're guaranteed to fail at the plate more than you succeed and you certainly can't win them all. Play with confidence, play like a winner!

Ricky Bobby is coaching baseball?

The guy is a prick
