The Universe works in mysterious ways. Last night I decided to give up on something I'd been working toward for a long time. Today, working through the steps to close the project, something in me said, "Wait, just one more try." So, I decided to keep going, now I see this.❤️
I was in a cab once driven by a man talking on his phone in a foreign language. Suddenly he switched to English to say "I'm so proud of you." Then went back to whatever he was speaking. I'd guess there wasn't a way to say it in his language.

Korean is a very contextual language. The deep emotional meaning is present because this is her mom telling her this. The phrase 수고했어요 is used to tell people they are doing a good job (I use it with my students ) and it’s not as emotional with strangers.

It's Buddhist in philosophy and it's beautiful. This was actually really helpful for me to see today. Thanks for the repost.

Wow this hurt….beautiful

고생 많아도 기쁜 마음으로 살아라

오늘도 수고하셔습니다.

“Soo goh het suh” everyone! Hwaiting!

Awesome

Well said. Deeper meaning.

Told the chat took a fat shitter and somebody said “수고했어“

Ooh I just saw this today too - love how she breaks down the feelings that come with the words

Suffer well.

Thank you. From 🇨🇦

Thank you

What you practice often becomes your world. If you practice suffering , suffering becomes your world. If you want to see the world as a place of suffering, this is a good practice. Why not say I love you, not tied to any amount of work / suffering?

So sweet.😍

Omg! I literally put this in Google translate last night b/c I heard it in a drama & Google couldn’t translate it correctly. 😖😠 But this did. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!! 🙏🏻🙂👍🏻🙌🏼

Yes I agree, but also it’s also slow death by overwork - not sure if I agree completly. It fits some style and mentalities while hurting those that don’t agree with overwork everyday

So completely comforting!

This is where we use perdurabo.

Again with the goosebumps.

I see my hong konger son suffer for no reason He thinks it makes him look tough Like he’ll put up with a tyrant boss in a dead end job Im like this suffering serves no purpose

Lovely. I'm going to try to hold onto this.

Beautiful

This is how I feel doing taxes.

So… a Korean version of “offer it up.”

🙏🏼❤️💯

What if it really means "You suck" or something :P (jk jk hehe)

What a bleak thing to choose to say everyday. My heart goes out to those who live in a culture that does not value the gifts of God correctly.
