I love working with React etc (and teaching it, obviously). Because React & co are amazing libraries that allow us to build amazing websites & web apps. BUT! There is a but... The majority of all websites are actually NOT powered by React etc.

Over 40% of websites are powered by WordPress, pretty much all of which use jQuery.

It's because of wordpress, long live php 🙌 Tbh there are more business that can do great with just a wordpress site, than complex tech stack no one cares about.

I’d be curious as to how that list looks when you stratify it by the number of users and by the year of the most recent major update. Are high traffic sites using those when they come to crossroads?

is there any data for those 70% websites getting how much and which type of traffic? im pretty sure most of the popular ones already shifted from php, jquery and bootstrap

Sounds familiar. I've read a number of times that Wordpress are the most common. Which is php on the backend, like you mentioned.
