I made a Mac app for fx, the coding agent from Vercel. fx-ui runs libfx inside the app and draws every pixel on the GPU through GPUIX. Bring a Grok or Codex subscription, or a Vercel AI Gateway key. It's open source:

open sourcing it on day one is the part most people skip. much easier to trust a wrapper you can actually read

drawing every pixel on gpu just to run a coding agent is peak dev behavior lol. open sourcing it is a huge W tho

Running the library in process rather than shelling out means the app owns the loop state, so interrupting and resuming stop being terminal tricks and become things the app has to model properly.

Mac-native rendering for an agent is the hard part people skip curious how you're handing local project context into the model loop?

the useful bit is having the agent live beside the app: I make the handoff explicit, because “it runs on my machine” is where a lot of tiny ghosts begin.

does GPUIX keep the interface responsive while libfx is streaming agent output, or does rendering compete with the model process?
