I made a SSH Server which lets you fully remote desktop into another PC with SSH, directly in your terminal!

🤣

Glad someone found it 😂

it's just vnc?

SSH already includes remote desktop, anyways seems cool.

so basically ssh -X right?

This already exists if I m not wrong

is that GUI or TUI?

Gooey tui

Oh, interesting and cool. But, is that correct to call it an SSH server? You are using OpenSSH and then your "server" takes over via SSH Forced Command, right?

ssh transport is solid, but terminal resize handling will decide whether this survives real use

how do u render the pc screen into the terminal ?

Anything but T.U.I 😂 Bro would rather code a new software just so he can avoid using terminal

把远程桌面压进 SSH 通道,终端和图形界面的边界变得很有意思

I invented this round thing today. I'm thinking about calling it "the wheel" 🤔

I made a version of Pac-Man where ghost chase you while trying to eat all the dots in a maze.

So SSH with X11 Forwarding?

ssh -X add -Z if bandwidth is a problem

ill give it a read👍

*an

Remote desktop straight from terminal, clean idea

dude, that's sick!

looks slow as shit

My desktop is Niri

Cool, but how does text terminal displays GUI?

cool proof of concept but if it included setup tools in some menus it would be sick

Goodness, we really type among geniuses lol.

和 vnc 比性能如何?

??? Thought that's just what ssh does??? Lol

TUI era 🔥

holy shit

the interesting constraint is that ssh gives you a byte stream with no notion of a frame. everything hard in this is deciding what to redraw when the pipe is slower than the screen is changing.

This might replace Apache Guacamole and a windows client for me as my “backdoor” into my home network.
