Jones is accused of conspiring with transgender SJSU player Blaire Fleming to injure Flemings' teammate Brooke Slusser. As reported by Dan Zaksheske, a lawsuit alleges Fleming snuck out of a team hotel to meet with Jones the evening before a match against Colorado State. The lawsuit says Fleming agreed to throw the game so Jones on Colorado State could spike Slusser in the face. "Manusky said that at Jones’ residence, Fleming had shared with Jones the scouting for the CSU-FC game, and they had discussed Fleming 'throw[ing] the game' and how they would set up Jones to ‘blow up’ Slusser and ‘blast’ her in the face during the game," the court document says. The alleged decision to attempt to injure Slusser was because the female player didn't support having biological men play in women's sports. "We just don’t think it’s fair that a man is allowed to play," Slusser recently said in an interview.
