Sorry if this is a stupid question as I only do L2D, but was this not how ARkit tracking worked before? 🤔I assumed the inner mouth going down was tracked by jaw position/open like how it is for vbridget l2d this whole time

The way arkit works is entirely depending on how someone makes it. What my model is doing is essentially moving the teeth closer and further away depending on my different mouthforms. The downside of base arkit is that you trade one for the other. So i supplement it with teeth, mouth and tongue correction. To somewhat maintain shapes that i like and to show vowels better!

you should sell an ARKit blendshape reference thingy for mouth movement 😭 I struggle with it so hard and yours looks so cohesive

Once i figure out how to make the process a bit more cohesive for myself and clients i’d love to share some tips!!

Mari, do you have a recommendation for improving meshes on people like your model? Mine look messy and would not work well UV mapped of rigged.

I can definitely recommend checking artists out like @/pastell_vtuber / @/rainhet / @/MrZing07 They all show off their work in a very educational way and are good to absorb as a beginner! Definitely keep practicing and looking for good topology examples to learn from 💚
