I made this interactive generative art piece using @Grok 3, purely on my iPhone. I didn’t write a single line of code. Grok 3 pretty much nailed my idea without a single error. How is this not AGI?

I described what I wanted to Grok 3. a physics sim of threads that repel where I touch the screen. I explained how a thread is constructed on a technical level, so that Grok would know how to make it. Then copy paste the code into Replit on iOS and this comes out:

Grok can also offer some creative suggestions on how to tweak the simulation further. Including damping and wind force.

After that I just started telling it some stylistic things I wanted. “Make a light blue color ripple spread out onto the other threads where I touch” “Add a perlin noise force and make the line brightness change depending on its intensity” “Give me controls to tweak the noise”

It helped that I had coded this from scratch before so I knew how to describe it in plain English. But it is crazy to see what originally took days if not weeks to code, be compressed down to 10 minutes with a text message to Grok.

I’ll close this thread with my art installation “threaded waves” that applies this simulation. It’s possible to make an art installation like this without code now. I think AGI is here but they’re not saying it is.

What REAL customers say about TurboScribe's unlimited AI transcription 👇 🇦🇺 "I rarely leave testimonials, but this app 100% deserved one in my books. I transcribe everything without thinking. Large numbers of small files or several HUGE files it handles it." - Gerardo

@grok People who are genuinely into digital art will thrive at product design because their vocabulary will be so much richer. The future belongs to the geeks

@grok awesome, and extra awesome that you shared your workflow too thank you.

@grok What was the “how a thread is created on a technical level”? Wow 🤩

@grok That is where you develop the skill to translate an idea into words. Which means looking at an object and describing how you think it works.

@grok Ho Lee Fuck
