@DrPhil @MeritStreet @prageru Why should plumbers and brick layers be paying off the debts of people that spent four years learning how to cook?

@DrPhil @MeritStreet @prageru I’ll add that millions of tax paying Americans who didn’t go to college are having their taxes stolen to pay off these bribes.

@DrPhil @MeritStreet @prageru We need to hold universities accountable for delivering the return on investment (ROI) that they promise with these degrees.

@DrPhil @MeritStreet @prageru Now do the Universities and Tenured Professors making BILLIONS on selling worthless degrees to our young adults and teens. They KNOW they can't pay the debt off. They don't care.

@DrPhil @MeritStreet @prageru We have to get away from the insidious notion that other hardworking taxpayers are supposed to bail out people for their poor decisions. Because it never ends.

3 rules for your children and college: Get an applied education or don't bother going - critical thinking is dead in the collegiate universe. The school doesn't matter. Go with the cheapest and one that has a proven track record of students getting hired. If you can afford to help them with tuition, make the following deal: They have to take the Fafsa federal loan piece on themselves. (Skin in the game) 1st semester acclimate, from that point on they must work at least 15 hours/week. (Addtl responsibility vs partying) They should try and graduate early by taking credits over summer school. They must maintain solid grades (I don't expect Einstein but c students can try harder. 80%(grades)-10%(for working)-10% (for graduating early)

Perfectly delivered. I left school with 40k in debt, majored in business & marketing where I knew a well paying career could exist, and worked my ass off to make it happen & pay it off. Student loan forgiveness is a pathetic concept & just tries to reinforce 0 accountability. Ty for your service on this one
