I met with the heads of American think tanks. We discussed the battlefield and the steps that can bring us closer to a guaranteed peace. Many think tank representatives are already working with our people and our military to find effective solutions. We appreciate this and count on continued support. Thank you for a meaningful discussion and insightful ideas. I’m grateful for the sincere support for Ukraine and our people.

South African Minister of Sports Gayton McKenzie, who once said he would go as far as “going to the hospital to switch off the oxygen supply of undocumented African nationals,” has now made a U-turn by urging South Africans not to engage in any violence on June 30, the date set for undocumented African nationals to leave the country, in what appears to be an attempt to win support for the South African national team from other African countries ahead of their matches in the World Cup.

So it’s over. United States was ranked 16th coming in to World Cup so 2nd Round exit is on par. Final score shows how far US has to go in this sport. Belgium is a world powerhouse. As host US was successful, filled stadiums, people who came here seemed to have fun, they sold a lot of TV commercials. There was a lot of corporate hype and some people believed they were contenders. But the US has reached QF just twice in 96-year history of WC and won’t here in 2026. I would have loved to see them win. Who doesn’t love a winner? This is not a negative post. But like one of the post-game commentators said, “this was a reality check.” And the reality is soccer is NOT our sport. Don’t know that it ever will be. I’m fine with that

I have already arrived in the United States. Our schedule includes meetings with President Trump, his team, and those who can support our defense. Our number-one priority is anti-ballistic defense and strategic cooperation with America. Peace needs to be brought closer. Of course, on behalf of all of Ukraine, we will honor the memory of Senator Lindsey Graham. Together with everyone attending the ceremony in Washington, we will remember his commitment to security and freedom across the transatlantic community and around the world. Thank you to everyone who helps protect lives!
