The MCU shouldve been its own thing not influencing comics but it did like tumor. The MCU should be seperate from everything else including comics, video games and animation. I fear the dcu will also go down the same road and fail even harder. Emh, spectacular, YJ and Unlimited

For me they became too much of an engine for marvel studios, no direction, too much synergy etc. Marvel studios has to understand movie fans don’t buy comics

What a great video. Been to Universal probably 5x. I love everything about it. Great references too. Civil War, Dark Avengers, Siege. Great era of comic books. And yes, much of it was more grounded than the 90s era. 80s had a lot of that too with the gang war stories. But you also had things like Daredevil in a Kingpin suit so plenty of it was still wild lol. The MCUfication of comics was so stupid. Perfect example is Hawkeyes updated suit. So lame.

100%. Its so refreshing to be surrounded by pulpy, old-school comic imagery everywhere. Nothing from Marvel today gives me that same feeling -- not even stuff like Rivals.

I like the MCU but not enough that I want it to the center of EVERYTHING that Marvel fuckin does. I hate synergy. It killed the creative space we lived in for decades. We had the best shows cancelled for everything to be bland and uniform and it was the death of us all
