That's something we hear after every recent mass shooting, and although I agree that mental health plays a role in many of these shootings, the "mental health" excuse is also a phrase that republicans use so that they can shift attention from the obvious gun problem in America I've probably heard the phrase uttered 10-15 times by Republican politicians already regarding the Nashville school shooting. On the surface that's not a problem, but when you digest the facts it IS! In September of 2022, 5 months after the Uvalde, Texas shooting, Congress put forth a bill called the Mental Health Matters Act, which expanded school mental health services. ALL 219 Democrats voted FOR it, out of 206 Republicans in the House, only 1 voted for it. NEVER stop calling these people out for their hypocrisy! I won't, even if Republicans make lies up about me to try and tell me that my voice is squeaky.
