💔 Praying for my City - #LosAngeles. With all the pros and cons California is Paradise on Earth, a place where I grew up and where I became the man that I am today. It’s incredibly heartbreaking watching the fire destroying an entire neighborhood that I know extremely well, #PacificPalisades. When General Donahue commanded the 82nd Airborne Division, he made it a point to do physical training with a different squad every morning. He brought them to headquarters, where a certified instructor led everyone through a demanding high-intensity workout. He did it religiously for two years. I liked the idea so much that I brought the same approach into squadron command. Every morning, a different section would join me and the Command Sergeant Major for PT. It gave us a chance to sweat alongside our soldiers, spend time with every part of the formation, and build relationships that we wouldn’t have developed by staying behind our desks or working out by ourselves!

Yaxel Lendeborg missed three years of High School ball because of academic struggles He worked to improve his grades and was able to JUST make a team before the season ended, and performed well enough to make it to a community college, where he then became the NJCAA’s all-time leading rebounder He then transferred to UAB, where he became one of two players in Division I history to record over 600 points, 400 rebounds and 150 assists in a single season. The other player is Larry Bird. Afterwards, he transferred to Michigan and performed well enough to be a potential first rounder in the ‘25 draft But he stayed and wanted to build upon that legacy and lift up his draft stock even more. And he did just that, becoming a national champion and a potential lottery level draft pick. Yaxel’s story isn’t one that should be ridiculed. It should be one that’s praised — because worked hard at every level to get to where he’s at
