Ignore the other replies. This is the greatest Hawkeye play ever: Oct 8 1921. Duke Slater lays a devastating block against the Notre Dame line, allowing Gordon Locke to score a TD. Iowa wins 10-7. ND wore green uniforms for the first time due to the maginitude of the game. Iowa finished 7-0, national champs 1921. Slater, Locke, and Lester Belding were named 1st team all-Americans; Slater is in the CFB and NFL Halls of Fame, and UI's Slater Hall and the field at Kinnick is named in his honor.

@DustyBottoms04 Honorable mention because not truly a "play" but the Iowa crowd was waned by the referee for excessive noise on a 3rd down play in 1990 vs Minnesota. Did I mention the game was at Minnesota! The road team's fans were warned for excessive noise! Once in a lifetime play. Go Hawks
