🦮: the real reason I wanted to volunteer at a dog shelter is that there are so many dogs and cats in the world without a family or home. So if you find out through this video and if you’re ready to adopt a pet then please look into it. Besides the shelter I visited today, there are a lot of shelters across Korea so if you are interested please look into it. But you have to be ready to have a pet! Seriously! As a person who has a dog too, I want you to adopt when you are fully prepared!

The woman saw a neglected dog and convinced its previous owner to give it up. He has a real home now 😭 “I couldn’t believe he wasn’t a stray dog. I asked the owner, ‘Do you want to try letting me take him?’ There were neighbors outside, and the owner no longer wanted to keep him. He said, ‘If you can catch him, he’s yours.’ I tried to earn his trust. He would come close to me, then run away, come close again, then run away… In the end, I finally caught him. The former owner even came out to help me lift him into the car. I took the opportunity to say clearly, ‘This is not how a dog should be treated. We will find him a good home.’ We immediately took him to a grooming salon. Four hours later, he looked like a completely different dog—handsome and clean. That night, he slept for 15 hours straight—definitely the best sleep he had ever had. After that, he went to his new home, where a female dog taught him how to be a dog. Everything was new to him. Seeing him this happy, I’m deeply grateful I found him that day.”

This dog loves his owner so much, but this time he didn’t even want to look at him and the reason was that his owner brought a little cow to pet it, and this shattered the dog's heart, He feared that he would be replaced and forgotten, his owner started to apologize to him and comfort him, assuring him that he would never replace him. Today at Uhuru Park, I met this man sitting all by himself, deep in thought. I approached him and we talked. He shared that life has really been tough he has been searching for a job for a long time without success. Two months ago, his house was locked, and since then, he has been sleeping on the streets. I wanted to help him pay the two months’ rent, but all he asked for was transport money to go back home to the village, where he at least has a place to stay and regroup. I listened and supported him with the fare so he can go home, plan afresh, and hopefully return to Nairobi or anywhere once an opportunity opens up. He is a chef and ready to work. If anyone can offer him a job or support, please reach out to me since his phone was stolen: 0720836634( his number is recorded in the video if you have an opportunity for him.) Sometimes a small act of kindness can help someone restart life. Let’s continue looking out for each other.

Sharing for Kingston. To save his life. “Kingston means "king's town" ... but his reality couldn't be further from that. Instead of a kingdom, he has a kennel. Instead of a family, he has people who walk past him. Every single day. Kingston is only one year old. Just a baby. And he is the sweetest boy. Gentle, loving, playful, and so full of love to give. He is dog friendly, amazing with kids, and everything about him says "perfect family dog." Right now, Kingston is on the urgent list. And somehow... not one person has ever stopped to meet him. Not one person has ever asked to take Kingston out of his kennel. They walk by while he spins, jumps, and moves nonstop. They see chaos. They don't see stress. They don't see fear. They don't see a young dog losing his mind in an overwhelming environment. This is not excitement. This is kennel stress. This is what happens when a loving, energetic dog is trapped behind bars with nowhere to go and no one to turn to. If someone would just stop. If someone would just ask to meet him. They would see the real Kingston. Take him outside and he softens. A sweet, gentle, playful boy who loves fetch and proudly brings the ball back, dropping it right at your feet every time. A dog who wants to be close. A dog who wants to belong. He is sweet. He is gentle. He is playful. And, he does not deserve to be invisible. We don't know how Kingston is with cats.
