I never understood the hate some fighting game fans have for guest characters. As someone who grew up daydreaming about things like "What if Street Fighter and Tekken characters fight, who would win?" I almost cried when I first saw this. Like are you telling me this isn't cool?

Personally as much as I love MBAACC I can't recommend it to new fighting game players. A lot of the inputs feel frame perfect with low margin for error and there's no tutorial mode. Also preferably you should read Tsukihime first so you know who the characters are. For first timers I would recomend something like FighterZ, MVC3 or if you want to do Melty Blood, start with Type Lumina. HOWEVER, MBAACC is an amazing game that's cheap and runs well and even as a new player if you have the motivation, you can learn it just like any other game.
