Those three little phrases almost tell the whole testimony by themselves: I didn’t know. Thank God. Never would’ve ever known. “I didn’t know” is where you started. “Thank God” is what you can say looking back. And “never would’ve ever known” is the realization that without being brought through it, you might never have known Him in quite the same way. The deepest truth in a song isn’t in the longest verse. It’s in a few words that somehow contain the whole story.
