Key point every Ghanaian should know: Starlink produces internet via a router that can not provide internet unless connected to WiFi. That means when you are not home, you will still have to buy MTN data if you want to go online. It will also rely on ECG for power, which is known to be expensive and unreliable in Ghana. Additionally, it is costly to purchase. So why not support local telecoms in providing affordable services now so Ghanaians can get connected? Your speech suggests that MTN and the telecoms are the ones punishing Ghanaians, while Starlink is presented as an alternative, which is not true. Your policies are causing the high costs. Everyday digitalization, but key issues are being overlooked. "Let's drop the get-rich-quick scheme and put the people first." Even if AT&T, Verizon, and others come to Ghana, with these leaders' mentality, it won't solve the main problem.

Starlink's entry into the Ghanaian market will not directly drive down data prices! 1) Different target markets: Starlink primarily focuses on providing internet access to remote and underserved areas, while traditional internet service providers (ISPs) target urban and densely populated regions and unreliable ECG that suffocate them. 2) Starlink uses advanced satellite technology and the service is entirely different andrequires significant investment and has different operational costs system compared to traditional ISPs. 3) Limited competition: Due to its distinct service offering, Starlink is not in direct competition with traditional ISPs, reducing the pressure for them to lower prices. They just won’t for no apparent reason unless perhaps there’s another competitor like them 4) High initial costs: Starlink's hardware and setup expenses is higher than traditional ISPs, ans will remain higher due to the service the provide - it becomes a “class thing” it will deter some customers and limit its impact on the overall market but if you can afford…? 5) Regulatory factors: Starlink's operations has been subject to different regulations and licensing requirements compared to traditional ISPs, which has affected its pricing strategy and market influence. They will not reduce cost because of NCA, government or whatsoever. That point should be clearly made. The others ISP’s are not even close to competing!
