I painted Lord Ayyappa while observing full vrutham, with complete discipline and devotion. When it reached Malaysia and I saw them performing pooja and Aarathi to the painting, my eyes filled with happy tears. My entire family felt truly blessed to witness this moment. 🙏

hyunjin talking about the moon jar painting he gifted seungmin! 🥟: since i'm painting for a gift, i felt a sense of responsibility inside the canvas. it felt different when i gifted yongbok and jeongin. i think this is the most complete painting i've ever done, it might be the last moon jar painting and i don't plan on painting them in the future. i painted it because seungmin liked my moon jar painting too. rather than painting what i want to paint, it's more about what he liked. i thought of it as the last painting and poured my everything into it. i think that's why it turned out well. seungmin sent me his thoughts about it, it's in my kkt so i can't really remember what he said

Finally, I returned to my destroyed home in Beit Hanoun after 480 days. I lost my way twice while searching for it, as the massive destruction had completely changed the landmarks of the area. Nothing remained as it once was. Among the rubble of our house, I found my brother Mohammed’s keffiyeh. I picked it up and placed it on my shoulders. Words fail to describe how I felt. I cannot begin to explain how cool it was to be at my grandparents house listening to myself do an interview with PIOLIN! Yesss I recorded it on the radio 😂😂😂 I truly felt so proud to represent my culture and for my grandparents to get to witness it. They raised me and worked so hard throughout the years, they are the reason I work as hard as I do. They are the reason I do everything with pride and dignity because I represent them. My success is for them and because of them.
