I personally don't think it's possible to create something better than this in anime

get me hyped up ever time - reminds me of my childhood dreams and my goals PEAK - brings a tear to my eye

Aside from mori's perfect animation and character designs , i think this should be taught in color studies because the color design alone in this cut might be the greatest i have ever seen

Facts not even as a OP fan but anime in general this episode is perfect in every way

It’s a shame it took this long for someone as talented as Megumi Ishitani to come along and give One Piece the treatment it deserves. But Im glad it finally happened. Cant wait to see her next episode

why are you acting ishitani saved one piece when all she did was 3 episodes? lol the series directors in wano along with many talents were the reason of one piece's foundational shift for the better

Last year on my animation course at university I had to pick any scene from any medium and analyse its cinematic aspects on two different disciplines. On one I had to present a seminar, the second I had to write an academic essay. Of course I’ve picked this scene. I aced both 👒

One Piece will go down as the best piece of fiction of all time. Once we know the full story, we’ll realise how simple it was and, inspite of that, how much better it makes it seem. The show is this best.

1015 is probably my favourite OP episode. To top of the red roc at the end was cherry on the icing.

Megumi Ishitani is so damn talented. I hope she directs and storyboard even more episodes in the future.

Everything in this and all leading up to it is perfect. The sound design, scene layout, the buildup, the editing, the framing, cuts, camera angles, colors… a MASTERPIECE in both animation and cinema. Megumi deserves all the praise, she perfectly captured the essence of One Piece
