Props on being honest, Act Man. Gamedev is hard, doubt these guys have the chops to make great games, they threw their teams together at random and Xbox is now a collective of back scratchers, not game makers. But we'll see I guess.

The Covenant so far are the Infinite assets, which saw universal appraisal when that game came out. Shame on you sir for mistaking Infinite’s beautiful grunts for the hideous 4 and 5 grunts lmao Of course they’re not CE grunts so it still sucks, but I’m just sayin’.

Literally ALL that shit was from Infinite. Only things from Halo 5 were the magnum sprint and magnum animations.

There's a huge opportunity to fill in the missing halo campaign between halo 1 & 2 Halo 2 - "so johnson, when ya gonna tell me how you made it home in one piece? Also an anticipated ODST sequel of marines fighting the flood? teaming up with covenant? etc. They could put it to a vote, people would love to see the original covenant war fleshed out more like Reach

all due respect, that doesn't sound like something feedback can change. the game is surely mostly complete now, so the core gameplay feel of guardians is likely baked into the foundation of this project, and can't just be yanked out and replaced.

I was waiting to hear your opinion on this because you have almost the same opinions on all things Halo as I do. I'm not going to hold my breath for the remake, but I do hope they don't shit in their hands and clap. It looks good, visually, but it just doesn't feel quite right

Halo Infinite Asset Flip with the weapons like the magnum using H5 animations and elites using Reach's. It is such a hodge-podge of just random shit thrown into a UE Blender.

It’s on the UE5 engine idk why @Halo decided to use that engine it looks so generic every game has if. Literally @Xbox @XboxP3 have ownership of ID tech engine same engine that Doom uses so why not utilize that engine and make Halo with it…. ? UE5 also has tendency for performance issues.

As HiddenXperia said, I really hope all the assets are just placeholders and they're actually making brand new models that actually fit in with Halo 1, with Halo 1 Elites and Marines. Because as it stands right now this is EXACTLY what Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary was. Big L.

Without a clear release date other than 2026 I definitely wasn't expecting it to be much more than pretty images right now. Gotta say though to their credit they are really really good looking images
