It's insane to me that people called this show boring. Like, yeah it takes a few episodes before they get to any real action but what they're doing before that isn't boring. This isn't DragonBall or One Piece where they spend 3 episodes standing and talking in a circle jerk

Fucking love Fern. Definitely "the apprentice" but also very much her own character and an accomplished mage in her own right. Definitely one of the better characters in anime.
