I proposed this solution 20 years ago, knowing those in power would block it, they were profiting from the crisis. For two decades, I've watched entire generations priced out of basic shelter. Housing isn't a luxury or investment vehicle—it's a fundamental human need. Every person deserves a roof over... their head, a place to call home, to raise their children. I knew my only hope was time. That one day, the electorate would be filled with people for whom skyrocketing house prices weren't a windfall but a barrier to the most basic human dignity. Young people shouldn't have to choose between having a home and having a future. Parents shouldn't work multiple jobs just to afford rent while landlords get rich. It would make your blood boil to walk around the area to see so many boarded-up homes in the middle of a housing crisis. Every one of these empty houses should be a home for a family, for children, for people to build a future and a good life. The scourge of dereliction is a direct result of Fianna Fáil-Fine Gael housing policy. They need to do their job and get these houses back into use now.

I feel for the young people of today looking at buying a house. In my day, it was about 3x the average wage to purchase a home. In some places now, its 15x wages. Add to that, the government is leaving the future generations with a $1 trillion dollar debt that they'll have to pay off. It's time to wake up to ourselves as a country and get it back on track.

All suspicions have been confirmed about Maui. They did this on purpose. This was not an accident or a freak force of nature. It's geoengineering and using weather as a weapon to level and evict people from their land for their sociopathic sustainable development goals and transhumanist smart cities. It’s now worth $1.3 million despite no material changes to the house. - You could have bought the house for a 10% deposit of $70,000 back in 2020 and paid $2,500 a month in mortgage repayments. - Now you need to save $130,000 to make a 10% deposit and need to pay $7,015 a month in mortgage repayments. - Current rent is $3,600 a month. The mortgage would be $7,015 a month. It is literally cheaper to rent forever than to take on 30 years of debt to own the same property. - When I tried to rent this property I had to first apply for 70 different places and was rejected from almost every single one.
