This kind of joke was funny for their fandom — and maybe even for me back then. But was it really funny for Yoko? Or did she just smile because she didn’t want to show how she really felt? I’m not trying to blame Faye for making jokes that weren’t cute, but rather vulgar. I blame the people, including myself, who laughed without seeing beyond it. Was Yoko truly comfortable deep down? I doubt it and to be honest I wasn’t thinking in her feelings back then. Sometimes we accept jokes at work just to fit in or be liked, even if that kind of jokes make us feel uncomfortable.
