I really think Kelvin Odih could be a 15 ppg guy at a MM+ next year while also being an all league defensive guy. Didn’t get a ton of run at St. John’s this year. Has some real tools on both sides of the ball.

Asked Jaylen Brown about Derrick White’s defense — and he said he could see D-White being Defensive Player of the Year: “I think Derrick White has been playing at an All-Star level l, because he plays both sides of the ball. And that's no disrespect to some of those other guys that are maybe in All-Star contention — but it's a clear difference. “I think Derrick is a First Team All-Defense type of ballot, or maybe even Defensive Player of the Year.”

"The New York Jets haven't made the playoff in 15 years.. Think of all the things that have happened in 15 years.. There's a bunch of good players on this Jets team and I think they could be a year away from being something of some consequence" ~ Mike Greenberg #PMSLive

🎙️ Bill Simmons: "Maybe next year is not their year. Maybe they'll be like, 'We'll draft two more guys. This is a slow build.' But I also think [the Charlotte Hornets] could zag the other way and just go get somebody really good and make a run at it with the shooting they have."

Terance Mann on the lesson he wants to impart to the Nets’ rookies "A lot of these young guys come from situations where they have the ball most of the time. They're the main guy... There's a lot of money to be made in this league not being that person, but being a guy that's waiting on his turn, being a guy that comes every day on time, being a guy that gets extra shots, being the guy that stays late, comes in early, being a great locker room guy, respecting everybody. There's a lot of money to be made when you're that guy. And a lot of people come to this league and they just want to be the guy, they all want to be that All-Star. They all want to take 10-plus shots a game, they all want to play 30 minutes, but that's not what it's all about. And a lot of championship teams understand that, and that's really what I want to bring to this organization."

Evan Willis had an outstanding weekend at USA Basketball, hitting a good amount of 3s and making a ton of plays on both ends of the floor. 6'8, 16-year old wing has exceptional explosiveness, a relentless motor, strong defensive versatility and a good foundational skill-set.

Chris McClellan vs. Alabama Not a loaded draft at defensive tackle this year, a guy like McClellan could end up going on day two. Had his best season as a pass rusher with 6 sacks, and has always been a quality run defender.

Draymond Green says the Pelle Larsson contract was a GOOD deal: “I think this is a good deal. $15M a year for who they feel will be a good rotational player. — This is not too much for a guy like Pelle to where you can’t trade the deal. You won’t look at this deal in a year and be like ‘oh this guy way overpaid.’ I think it’s a good deal for both sides” This was a great contract for Pelle who I believe will be a premier role player for this team around Giannis. I’m not worried about him living up to the contract at all

Nikola Jokic on Jaylen Brown: “He’s playing at a high level, scoring the ball, and he’s such a good defensive player too. The versatility to him is he can play both sides of the ball… he’s a really good player.”

Allen Graves on which Raptor legends inspire his style of play: “I’ll just talk about the team this year. Scottie Barnes, Collin Murray-Boyles. Both of those guys, their impact on both ends of the floor, being able to impact offensively as well as defensively, that’s something I want to do at the next level, being able to impact at both levels, and on both sides of the ball.”

No this isn’t from a year ago, it’s from today. I think this guy is stuck on repeat. A year of listening to him & this nonsense? Is this really keeping his base engaged? How exhausting. And nothing has been accomplished by the way.

Arizona State Forward Basheer Jihad has been one of the top transfers in the country this season. So far he’s averaging 14 PPG 6 RPG 1 APG 48% FG 35% 3FG Jihad joined Arizona State after a breakout 19 PPG season with Ball State and has stood out. At 6’9 he has a lot of versatility as he has the ability to score on all 3 levels at an effective level, while also being a strong playmaker. He’s also been a crucial part of his teams 9-2 start as he’s second in PPG and in RPG.
