This would be brilliant! I really hope Capcom dives head first into nostalgia by bringing back tank controls for a classic style RE2 remake.

As much as I love RE4, to this day I still think about this build. I'm still mad Umbrella died off screen instead of getting a game like this.

It would’ve been cool, but I’m ok with what we got, tbh. I think either RE7 or Village is similar enough, tbh. But I wouldn’t have mind a demo, like P.T., lol. A Haunting Ground remake would be interesting too, btw.

Much as I adore RE4, this more survival horror based game looked immaculate and I'd have probably loved it that bit more.

Eh the ghosts and dolls just don’t really feel like resident evil to me. They have nothing to do with the virus or bow’s. This feels more generic than the actual game we got.

To be honest, even though I still love the final version, I also think about this canceled version, and I like it just as much... But I want to tell you something: In my opinion, the "Requiem" version is the closest to the story of version 3.5! You just have to understand it...

I feel like the closest thing to this (mechanically speaking) is Cold Fear. It plays a bit similarly in how the main character moves and shoots. If you haven't played that, I definitely recommend it. I think it's still on Steam, and funnily enough came out before OG RE4.
