I received an intelligence briefing on Trump’s plan for “running” Venezuela. It sounded like it came from ChatGPT. We have a choice to make: support hardworking families in America or spend billions—if not trillions—in Venezuela to make Trump and his cronies richer.

Trump’s regime change war is about oil. If it was about dictators, more brutal authoritarian leaders wouldn't rule. If it was about communism, China wouldn't be one of our biggest trading partners. If it was about drugs, Trump wouldn't have pardoned Juan Orlando Hernandez. We will spend billions “running” Venezuela just to make a handful of companies and billionaires richer.

I just left a classified briefing with Rubio and Hegseth. The Trump Administration has no plan for Venezuela, beyond putting US troops in harmed way to make oil execs richer.

Joaquin Castro on Venezuela: “His foreign policy is Make Trump Rich. I don’t think he’s doing what’s in the best interest of the US or Venezuela. He’s doing what’s in the best interest of himself and a small circle of cronies that he’s going to help take over industries in Venezuela and make billions”

Q: "Are you saying that Secretary Hegseth and Rubio are going to be running Venezuela?" Trump: "They're going to be a team that's working with the people of Venezuela to make sure that we have Venezuela right...We'll run it properly. We'll run it professionally. We'll have the greatest oil companies in the world going in and invest billions and billions of dollars."

The Trump administration has no plan when it comes to Venezuela. Everything they said in their briefing on Venezuela would disappoint almost all of America.

Jeffries: The American people certainly do not support the notion that Trump and his cronies like Stephen Miller, who is a joke and a toxic embarrassment, are going to run Venezuela. They're talking about making Venezuela great again. They haven't been able to make America great again.

Trump: We're taking in trillions, not billions, trillions and trillions of dollars from other countries … Now they're paying a lot of money and they're paying hundreds of billions of dollars… But I think there's also a possibility that we're taking in so much money that we may very well make a dividend to the people of America.

Trump: Nobody knew the system like I do… Obamacare is a failure, not a good healthcare. It works. I made it work. I had an obligation to make it work or an obligation to let it die. I chose that we had to make it work. I had to make it as good as possible and I had a choice. I could have let it fail or make it as good as possible. As good as possible means it is still not very good but it survived

Asmongold explains why helping Venezuela after the earthquake is the smartest strategic move Trump can make "This is the perfect time for us to come in and try to help them out with disaster relief. We want to make sure our relationship with Venezuela is a lot stronger and that the people there are like, okay, America is actually here to help us and not just take our oil." "We want to unlock international trade with Venezuela in a way that's beneficial for the United States. That benefit is reduced when the country is rubble. We don't get as much out of the country if it looks like Gaza." "It shows people in countries like Iran or Cuba that if the US takes an interest in your country, there will be a positive windfall from it as well."

🚨 JUST IN — PRESIDENT TRUMP on how he'd like to proceed in Iran "If I had my choice, what would I like to do? TAKE THE OIL! Because it is there for the taking. There is not a THING they can do about it. Unfortunately, the American people would like to see us come home." "If it were up to me, I would keep the oil and make plenty of money... An example, Venezuela has worked out so incredibly. 100 million barrels of oil right now in Houston being refined. It has been great."

Q: You said the US is going to run Venezuela, so who is in power right now? Trump: We are going to be running it with the group, and we are going to make sure it runs properly. We are going to rebuild the oil infrastructure, which will cost billions of dollars, and it will be paid for by oil companies.

Based on the optics from today at the DOJ, Trump and his team made a conscious effort to make it clear he trusts AG Pam Bondi. He knows what people have been saying online. He knows many are critical of Bondi. Today, he made an effort to show he supports her. I know everyone has an opinion about how to run the government and how to drain the swamp, but ultimately, Trump is the one who gets to make those decisions. He has a plan, and the American People chose him to carry out said plan. If Bondi is compromised or not accomplishing what Trump wants, Trump will know about it LONG before we do, and it will be up to him to correct it. But for the time being, Trump just made a pretty clear statement today that the DOJ under his new administration will be different, and that he has faith in his appointees such as Bondi and Kash. If you disagree with Trump’s appointees or his plan, then in four years, you can vote for someone else, but until then, you’ve got no choice but to trust Trump, and he trusts Bondi.

Maduro & Chávez ruined Venezuela, taking it from the wealthiest country in South America to the poorest and stripping its people of their freedoms. Focusing on oil or cronies won’t age well. Do the right thing: Put the rightful election winners in power & work to restore democracy, human rights, and prosperity in Venezuela.
