On 1 June, I exposed a R38 million borehole in Waterworks that the City drilled and abandoned in October 2025. Today, I returned and announced that we’re finishing what the City of Joburg refused to do. With the help of generous Joburgers, we will ensure this borehole project is complete so that the people here can finally have water. #BelieveInJoburg #Zille4Mayor

The team at CareForGaza delivered an amazing performance in their first phase of providing clean drinking water to the displaced families on a large scale. Access to the basic human right to clean drinking water is not even safe as the survivors are being rained down with bombs and the water filtration system and other sanitation facilities are being destroyed. We would like to extend our gratitude to the donors who are helping us provide for the people in these challenging circumstances.

Today, we distributed fresh drinking water to displaced people in Gaza. People in Gaza are suffering from a real crisis in accessing clean drinking water. The residents of this camp had not received any drinking water for two weeks, forcing children to drink contaminated irrigation water, with visible dirt that can be seen with the naked eye. Your donations make a difference. Every day, we receive many appeals from camps that do not have access to drinking water, and our team is the only one delivering clean water to them. Please help us continue providing relief to displaced people living in harsh conditions called “tents” here in Gaza. To contribute: Thank you!
