It seems the Nobel Prize was once more responsible and committed to peace. Awarding Maria Corina Machado the prize was an irreparable mistake and one that will be difficult to forget.

Dr. King accepted the Nobel Prize as a representative of a movement, not as a victory lap. He treated peace and justice as practiced disciplines, not vibes. That is why the speech still hits. Racism and war were not, and are not, bad weather we just endure. They are human choices, reinforced by policy, profit, and silence. So the honest way to honor him is not just to repost the line. It is to do the next right thing with it. Vote like your neighbors matter. Speak up when someone is being dehumanized. Support the work that widens dignity in real life, not just in our captions. If a prize is a spotlight, then we are the follow-through.

🛑🛑🛑#MLK If you cannot fly, then run. If you cannot run, then walk. If you cannot walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward. If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way. —Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

King was an anti-capitalist and anti Imperialist . True peace comes from liberation of the press class from socialist revolution.

Comparing Machado to Martin Luther King is disproportionate. Luther King was always true to his principles; he never sold out or bowed to the powerful to earn the respect of the Black population. Awarding that prize to Machado was a mistake, and you saw the consequences.

King accepted his Peace Prize on behalf of others. Trump accepted other’s Peace Prize on behalf of himself. A precipitous plunge in principles.

Walk me through how the same org that gives MLK an award also gives one to a questionable drug dealing political leader who communicated she would be handing it over to another criminal friendly dictator.

What a fall from grace for an organization that recognised such brave souls to now giving laurels to compromised politicians the likes of whom turn around and give the award away to others of even more dubious character

Quoting Martin Luther King Jr. while honoring a Nobel Peace Prize recipient who advocated bombing their own country feels less like a tribute and more like a contradiction. At what point does symbolism collapse under its own weight?

On #MLKDay, let's remember injustice anywhere threatens justice everywhere. In Gaza, winter is killing kids slowly – mine are 4, trembling without heat or food. Not politics, survival. Read my pinned & share if you can

Too bad you don't give these awards to people like MLK instead of war criminals.

How did humanity shift from "humans are evil, full of racism and war - we must overcome this evil" to "we are faultless, I am god, and morality is whatever I define"?
