I remember losing my mind when they announced “Char’s Counterattack” would be airing on Adult Swim because I knew we’d get another masterpiece promo from Peter Cullen and he did not disappoint:

If someone asked me who the voice of my childhood was, I’d say Peter Cullen without a doubt. The toonami promos and all the Disney animated voices he did, no way I could say anyone else.

I love how he pronounces the names better than the film, dude was committed.

CCA gave us two of the best suits of the entire franchise in the Nu Gundam and Sazabi. Adding Cullens voice over just added peak to peak.

God damn that really was the golden age of both adult swim and anime

rest in peace Peter, thanks for making my childhood so memorable.

This is another fire promo that lives rent free in my head like the CCA one. Just made every single show feel like an event.

This goes unbelievably hard

Still the bumper i rewatch the most

So happy I got to see this in theatres. Such a phenomenal anime film

By far the best gundam promo toonami ever made, however I still think they missed a beat at the end, "Revenge is a dish best served Charred" 😉

@socalledcharlie Chills lol

Huh, never even realized that was him doing Toonami stuff, oops.

Just watched CCA for the first time a few days ago. It all feels so surreal.

Dude this hyped me up sooo bad

too bad its feddy propaganda

O-o... Optimus

@deadbeatat_dawn

God he was so good. He knew exactly how to hype up an audience. What a fucking legend.

His Toonami promos back in the day were fucking legendary. They got you so hyped no matter what the show was. Dude even made Sailor Moon sound hardcore.

This was my favorite of his reels. I remember staying up at age 10 and watching this. it's like a truck.

I watched that

These anime promos by adult swim were so goated

Man did he nail that.

“See ya Space Cowboy.”

Till all are one
