I remember seeing this video a year ago. I really do hope they continue to invest in research regarding ACL injuries, specifically in women

I agree because it’s sadly becoming more common I follow women’s soccer and anytime a player goes down with a knee injury everyone first thought is ACL and there’s just so many currently it’s sad

Medical training staff need to monitor load management, too. Absolutely no “playing through” an injury because your body will just put that load elsewhere and it’s only going to be a matter of time b4 the opposite side gets injured. Roller her left ankle a few days ago, then injures her right knee.

5 of my 6 kids played high school basketball; 4 played in college (2xd3, 2xd1). 4 of them tore their ACL and another needed ankle surgery.

Q angle and women. Look it up. Hopefully explains a little more and why we see women tearing their ACLs more.

lol department of education being dismantled but people on twitter pining for hyper-focused & inherently un-generalizable sports research. There’s not enough but already a lot of good research out there. Good Solutions already exist but society won’t implement them anyways
