On the day that marks the end of a month of sacrifice, it was fitting that we joined those who sacrifice to keep us safe at the COAS Sallah Luncheon for Troops in the Field of 2 Division Area of Responsibility in Igbeti, Olorunsogo LGA. As I said in my remarks, their welfare is our shared responsibility and we will continue to do all we can to support them to carry out their duties. May their sacrifices never be in vain and may Nigeria continue to find peace through their service to the nation.

Today we held a ceremony at the UN in memory of Shiri, Kfir and Ariel Bibas, as well as Oded Lifshitz. Dozens of ambassadors from all over the world were in attendance. I thank the Ambassador of Argentina, Francisco Fabián Tropepi, who spoke at the event, and I thank all the attendees who came to honor their memory and sign the condolence book. The UN has not condemned Hamas to date. We will not be silent. We will continue to fight against terrorism and tell the stories of those we have lost.
