I remember this guy, do you? He looked different for some reason! Really Good.

It’s funny because he is the only one that those hats looked right on. Kent had a good run

Smokey glasses were like CIA level shit - that's why

Kent Tekulve, anyone from that era would know. One of the best, coolest, and most surprisingly intimidating!

So many kids playing Little League in the early 80's tried to mimic that sidearm delivery!! 😎 #GoodMemories

Vin Scully once said about him " he was so skinny that he had to run around in the shower to get wet."

He played a couple seasons in the early ‘70’s with my hometown team, the Pirates Triple-A affiliate, the Charleston Charlies. Yeah, man. He was a fan favorite then.

He was on the Pirates telecasts in the studio up until about 5-10 yrs ago. He had a heart transplant too I think it was.

I was just talking about him the other day. 😂

@DangerousThinkg I remember him. As a REDS FAN I hated him.

Submariner..

The Pirates should go back to those hats. They were so cool.

I saw him several times playing winter league in Venezuela. He was a sensation.

I recognized Dutch Rennart calling that first strike.

Blue back there going crazy 😂😂😂

I remember growing up with Kent T on the mound. Every sidearm motion went with a loud call out, "Kent Tekulve!"

He could have hid behind a pencil.

Big fan of his.

The Human Drainpipe

My arm still hurts trying to throw like him and its been 45 years !

Im 56 years old, I saw him when I was a kid and ( I don't know why ) I still remember him.

One of my favorite pitchers. Loved him !!!!

I remember him. We had identical uniforms 7th and 8th grade.

Yep ..he was good.

Buggy whip action

Punto uno el mejor uniforme de los piratas de todos los tiempos. Punto 2 fue el primer lanzador que ví hacerlo por debajo del brazo , con tanta EFECTIVIDAD

Mark “the bird” Fydrich

Was my favorite pitcher as a kid

Great movement on those pitches.

He was very good.

I thought his release point was even lower than that. But I recall him making a lot of good hitters look like they just going out of tee-ball.

@DangerousThinkg Phillies fan forever. But loved seeing Kent out on the mound !

The tinted glasses added to the aura. Those hats were crazy bad in the day.

Hated him then, today I think he was awesome!!👍

I love the 80s 70s players were not like today
