Folks have asked me for a side by side comparison the Apple eMate 300 and the AlohaSmart 3000. Well you can see they were conceived by some of the same team at Apple. They are remarkably alike. In public I get a lot of “in the know” folks ask if that is the eMate. The build quality is better of course in the eMate. But it is also 2.5 time heaver and it is hard on my hacked battery. I do carry around the eMate and use it regularly but it is mostly in my Library for contemporaneous notes. The AlphaSmart 3000 I carry a lot. Mostly in the woods. It is lighter, only 3 AA batteries and easier screen in almost all settings. The 3000 has a slightly bigger keyboard but slightly worse travel. The AlphaSmart Neo2 has a better keyboard than both. Glass / Agents Window is the big story of Cursor 3 but there's lots of improvements we made to the standard IDE, its not going anywhere. My favorite is using standard vscode tabs for our chats so you can easily pull them out side by side and use all the standard VSCode shortcuts to manage them. It makes managing parallel agents a lot easier.

Got the BVH (AABB tree) working with a nice visualization. (The circles and arrows show the hierarchy of the tree.) This is all CPU-side for now, so next is to ship the BVH to the GPU for accelerating SDF brick baking. It's already in a flat buffer so that is straightforward.

Proud isn’t the word… it’s respect. Watched Lexy Gavin-Mather play against the world‘s best players in the WSOP - World Series of Poker super main.. for 28 hours on the felt play. The amount of pressure on the live stream under the lights in the way she calculated each decision just blows my mind. People often joke with me and her and ask who’s better at Poker… My reply is accurate and always the same She is better. I am luckier… The truth is, she is exponentially better at Poker than I am Life with this woman is just….amazing.. And.. after making g a profit of $95k this trip… she is even more attractive!

Okay this is really cool. Codex app has a new feature that is really useful. Highlight any text, and you'll notice a new popup. "More Details" uses GPT 5.5 Instant to explain in more detail about the highlighted portion of your text, allowing you to understand the reasoning/concept/statement/etc in greater detail. What's interesting about this versus a side chat is that it's instantaneous, and still retains context from the thread. With /side chat, you'd have to type out a prompt "what are the details on this?" With "more details" the prompt is implicit and the response is instantenous Very nice feature, as I'm always making side chats/branches to expand/learn/understand agent outputs better.
