I said I would never get a cat. A kitten showed up on our front porch and stuck around for two days. My 2 year old son would go pet her and laugh so loud. My cat is now 17 and sleeping on my lap.

Kiddos deserve a dog. Parents end up loving dog just as much. Dog inevitably destroys something valuable. Love/hate relationship with dog ensues.
