I said last year that the Conservatives will come forward with a plan to fix our immigration system. Today I’ve announced the first part: that living here has to mean something. That means making bold changes to who we allow to live in Britain, and how they apply. Let’s...

You’ve gone from focusing on dealing with illegal immigration to destabilising legal migrants who are settled snd working hard and contributing to this country! Why do you not want us to have the security of certainty, which helps socially integrate immigrant families into the communities in which they live? How does your proposal help with community cohesion? You imported thousands of doctors and nurses from abroad, whom Britain did not pay a penny to train, and yet now propose to hang the guillotine of uncertainty over their heads for a significant portion of their entire lifetime - 15 years is a lot to wait before one can decide whether to make long term settlement plans here for their families. Well, Britain can’t have their cake and eat it too - skilled workers will now consider giving Britain a miss and instead choose other countries that recognise their humanity beyond just their professional skills, and also recognise their human need for settled family life.

@Conservatives Conservatives have been bringing in these immigrants for years. Reform is now leading in the polls throughout the UK. And now you want to have a say? It's too late for that.

@Conservatives You're copying Reform. Only problem is we trust Reform; we don't trust the Tories.

Let me tell you what the future will look like if this happens. The best immigrant talents will leave, and even the future ones will no longer come over, everyone will go to countries with favourable conditions. The British people are already leaving because of high income tax, now the cost of living will be higher because they'll be shortage of talented workers. Cost of housing will reduce surely but the cost of every other things will increase exponentially. More restaurants and stores will close up and you'll have to go to chain owned stores to get the basics. The cost of car insurance will go really high and same of the cost of car repairs. You'll solve one problem but create 5 new ones.. This is not a well thought out plans. People will compare their options and relocate to places with better alternatives. So many countries now offer Nomad VISAs and soon, a faster path to citizenship.

@Conservatives Immigration, Immigration, Immigration. Other countries are leaving the UK behind in terms of technological advancement, and Immigration is the only thing you keep putting forward. What ideas do you have to put Britian forward as a world leader

@Conservatives No one trusts the Conservatives any more, you and Labour are finished. You can't cheat, rob and lie to us and destroy the country and expect to be forgiven and get away with it.

@Conservatives We want no immigration because we’re full and the consequences have been dire. In fact we want mass deportations of illegals. So that’s a no from me.

@Conservatives You should also add that anyone born of an immigrant parent cannot hold a political office in the UK, including yourself. Maybe we will start taking you seriously by then. British politics for British people.

@Conservatives Are you here because your parents treated the NHS as a hotel? Popped over to give birth here to ensure you got a passport and then buggered off back home to Nigeria?
