I saw this this morning and figured I would share it. I've been tying down crap in pickup trucks for over 50 years and never once thought of doing this.

Push button tailgate? Fuck Sake!

That's not in the manual because it damages your tailgate lock ...

File this one under just because you can doesn't mean you should..

Until you bend it by ratcheting it

Until the tall gate lifts up while driving, I think you might be a closet Canadian

How does the interwebs know I need to get some posts that are too long for my truck bed and I'll have to carry them with my tailgate down? How Does It Know?

Because they are always watching. 😂

I did an original video a couple of months ago and got about a thousand views, I forgot to add the Instagram logo.

Damn brother, I was just checking out your feed you have some pretty good content. You deserve a follow.

I share content like anybody else on any platform but I try to make some good stuff too. Dropping an original cooking vid at 6:00 p.m., always going for humor around here.

I'll check it out.

You use the tie down on the tab that latches onto. In turn pulling the load inward. Those thin tabs in the tailgate will bend releasing the tie down at some point. Now the tailgate doesn’t work anymore either 🤣🤦♂️

How often to u tie things down on your tailgate? My Ford has built in eyehooks in the bed for that...

Add a hundred pounds or so of tension from the ratchets, and 10 miles of going over bumps and you have yourself two broken tailgate latches, hell yeah

Fucks sake, I love that guy. His YT channel is awesome

What? An electric tailgate?

Clever. Off topic, but why do some people lose the ability to speak without dropping F-bombs? Like, it's annoying, like every other word, like you know what I'm like, talking about?

Be careful it’s a Chevy it’ll probably break

...trucks aren't trucks anymore. The damn beds are 4' long. That is why I have old shit with a long-ass bed.

If you drive a Ford then you already know that tie down hooks are already built into the tailgate. Cool trick though.

That trick also works for holding down a trunk lid or hatchback over an oversized load. Snap one hook into the lid/hatchback latch and hook the other around the latch bar where the trunk lid normally latches onto, then tighten the strap to snug the lid/hatchback down. When you’re done, pull the trunk/hatch release to release the latched strap.

That will bend the latches I bet :) Also, push button? Why?

F S lol

Bend the fuck out those latches. Do it!

Fucks sale. Buy a Ford. Fucks sake.

The latches arent designed to carry a load.

what pussy needs a button to open a tailgate.... man up

No way that strap would hold crap. Shit would slide right through it. You’ve been doing it right. 👍

It is not good to put torque angle on that latch.

That guy has a hardcore Canadian accent. 😂

This is a dumb idea. Those latches are made for a purpose. Strapping down cargo ain’t one of them.

@FlagAndFire I don’t know. I don’t like swearing, but I like him.👍🏼

He's so "Fargo" for fuck's sake..

F**k sake.

Because we don't read the manual.

You have to say The Words or it doesn't work.

Fast way to break the lock, but you do you.

If I saw him, and was carrying a 7 iron, I'd try to put him on the green.

fer fucks sake.....
