This is long but worth it: Yesterday I was watching the 2024 Candace/Tristan Tate interview to check my facts on a post, and it gave me an insight into her thinking. Candace justifies her defense of these two pornographer brothers based on their support for HER. Bc they had her back, she views them as good, and she excuses their past. She contrasts that with someone like Andrew Klavan who she thinks betrayed her, which makes him evil. “I don’t support pornography… I’m aware of their history… it’s easy for people who had easy lives to say what they would or could not get involved in at any time… Also, the people that you think are evil, like this person – I will tell you, when everything was going down with me, you and Andrew from the second it was happening were like, ‘We have your back, 100%.” It’s striking how Candace can excuse two men who were admittedly involved in sexual exploitation while framing Erika Kirk as a sex trafficker. It’s easily explained by her own words: “I will go with my instincts of the people who I think have the capacity to do tremendous good- even if their backgrounds are not squeaky clean- over the people who have squeaky clean backgrounds and I believe have the potential to do real evil in this world.” Candace decides who is good & who is evil based on how they relate to her, and then she condemns or exonerates them accordingly.

Ellen really broke my heart because I thought the world her. But when I realized her set was literally a copy of Epstein Island I realized she is evil! I started thinking about her weird presentation she gave at the academy awards referencing “pizza” which we know is used by pedos. (I’m being generous) I took out the fluff to reveal the patterns in her language. Largely, her statements are “I feel”, “they feel”, “it feels like…” statements. Candace is upset Charlie’s former head of security won’t respond to her messages, and she frequently does garbage like this—she’ll marvel at why so and so won’t respond to her messages or agree to speak to her. She doesn’t like it when she’s ignored or not given attention or taken seriously. She’ll attempt to manipulate her audience with the line of, “why wouldn’t they want to clear their name if they’re truly innocent?”—or something similar. But she neglects to acknowledge that people close to this case (and also the general public) are intimate with the fact that she’s a bad actor. She’s not presenting information in good faith, and talking to her or answering her questions to try to “clear your name” will not lead to any good. She doesn’t actually care about who she destroys in this faux investigation. If someone in an unofficial capacity were suggesting I had something to do with a murder, I’d just laugh, because it’s absurd. I wouldn’t desperately try to clear my name because I don’t have to, and it’s a waste of time. Candace, moreover, isn’t an investigator. She’s not part of this case in any capacity. And contrary to what she might fancy herself, she’s not the arbiter of who’s guilty and who’s suspicious and who’s not. No one is under any obligation to directly talk to her or respond to her requests for comment—and no one with any intelligence would.

This man’s poor grandmother suffers from dementia, so she has sundowner’s symptoms that seems to get worst. However he is unaware of the condition and is convinced she’s possessed by evil spirits. Had an interesting conversation this weekend with an older relative who's politics are "just be a good person". She's relatively wealthy and gives to the types of causes you would expect this type of person to give. She gives her time too. She is actually a good person. I asked her if she was ever concerned that the causes she gave to would reduce the proportion of people like her in the world. She said that she thought the opposite. That she was inspired by the generosity and kindness of others, and that by giving she would increase the proportion of people like her. I said I believed she inspires her peers, but her peers aren't the people she's giving money to. Do they become productive and generous people, like her? Or is she just increasing the proportion of people who are takers and don't give anything back? Despite decades of generosity, this was clearly a question she had never thought about. The implications made her uncomfortable, and the conversation basically ended after that.
