I seem to remember this being a dumb man when I was growing up🤔 2011:

Shows how much dumber we’ve become since then….. Sounds very rational to me..

He was dumb and he is still dumb, the problem is that the bar has been lowered so low that it makes George Bush look like an intellectual. With Trump the standards are at retarded level and it's considered normal!!!

any clown can recite globalist propaganda cliches; "isolationism" --- "protectionism" blah blah

He’s a fucking road scholar compared to the current president.

Insiders always said highly intelligent

He played up the dumbassery when he was president. If you watch literally any interview from afterwards its clear that he is a lot less stupid than he acted.

Bush was no dummy, just fumbled at public speaking. A good man with some fantastic cabinet members, but too moderate for my taste (even though I voted for him both times). I was a huge fan of Condoleezza Rice, and had hoped she'd run after Bush. Happy she's at the Hoover Inst.

Well I think our current president makes bush look like a saint lol

You forgot evil

Trump makes Bush look like Einstein.

You remember correctly. He was. It's just that the example we've had in the last 10 years is so much worse that GWB seems comparatively brilliant and full of heart.

He went to Harvard and his Dad was president.

Yes he was dumb by everyone's standard. The GOP had to keep lowering the bar to enable their white supremacist agenda, that's how we got to where we are today.

playing dumb is a tactic

I love W, but this was like 30mm immigrants ago, and at a time when we thought that by opening our markets China and another countries would open theirs. They didn’t.

He at least read books. He read a book by scientists predicting a global deadly pandemic. This scared the hell out of him, and he set aside precautions. Obama took over and instead of being petty and puerile he furthered what Bush 43 did. Then Trump did away with it all.

Now we have: “We gonna build a ship, a big one, bigger, biggest… uh powerfull, 100 times bigger..uh 100 times more powerfull .. a litle bit bigger.. they say has “lethality” … whatever that word means” 🤣

To be honest, it wasn’t that I thought George W. Bush was any smarter or dumber than future presidents, but he almost had tic-like ways of mixing up common expressions, mispronouncing words, etc. Looking back it seems like it was liberal cope for his eventual re-election

Anyone who says Bush is dumb is ultimately a dumb person. Intelligent people recognises intelligence but dumb people can neither recognise intelligence nor dumbness. His point is factually and history accurate. What do you know except calling names.

I remember thinking of him as a fucking idiot, and fully corrupted by big oil. But compared to Trump, he comes across as a brilliant scholar with talent for teaching, with a side job as auditor of a nunnery's economy...

we thought this guy was retarded back in the day but now we have actual retards

@westandeast270 He wasn’t a genius. But he wasn’t as dumb as people made him out to be either. I’d take him in a heartbeat over what we have now in the White House.

He was a dumb man. He just looks smart compared to MAGA.

Reason why 😂

Compared to Trump, W was a genius. He said and did some genuinely stupid things (including the wars) but he's a decent man who loves America. The press misrepresented many Republicans (none more than Romney, who was treated unfairly). That's partly how we got these fascists...

One thing we’re not going to do is sanitize this evil man’s legacy because he was correct about the trajectory of policy he helped to influence. Gtfoh. This is one of the architects of the perpetual war on terror… patriot act… war in Iraq… coup attempts in Venezuela… the list goes on. nah nah nah nah and nah.

Maybe in 14 years the same will be said about Trump. But this game has been played so long now, that I don't reckon we will have 14 years to find out. Just keep in mind that Dick Cheney served Nixon, Ford and both Bushes. And did a lot behind the scenes too, as he was chairman and CEO of Halliburton during the Clinton administration. He also endorsed Trump befor Janurary 6 2020. You could probably say he was the Trevor Manuel or Pravin Gordan of the US going back a few years. The man's career spanned presidencies and was very connected to intelligence agencies. Foreign and abroad.

I had a theory that he was either extremely dumb or (hear me out on this one) so intelligent that, he was acting dumb to throw us off.

Yeah, he was. You remember right. Guy who never would have made it that far if not for nepotism and being too rich. It's just that his party still found ways to outclass the stupidity and hit new lows.

I met him, got to joke with him about Texas and Kinky Friedman, he’s quick witted and funny. That stupid crap was not even close.

Don’t buy into media character assassination. I started questioning and unlearning the false narratives about him when he signed the United States President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Among the most humble presidents, and First Lady Laura, an absolute gem: Decent. Humane. Kind.

That's what MSM wanted you to believe.

Oh we were served a caricature

He was never dumb but he was always evil and a mass murderer, and that's why he supports the evil globalist policies he supports.

I remember it too, Dubya was the dumbest President when we were growing up, but maybe the Democrat media just painted him like that.
