“I seen the ISS…”

That's what we would see if the ISS were at a very low altitude. But it is located at an altitude of 400 km. I'll explain it to you as if you were five years old: if you stand at the side of a highway and a car passes by at 130 km/h, you won't have time to see it. Now watch that highway from 2 km away, and you'll have plenty of time to observe that same car with binoculars. You're just an idiot.

^metric system

Obviously, this is standard practice in science and throughout the world... But rest assured, the result is exactly the same with the imperial system. However, I understand that you would prefer to change the subject completely because you don't know how to respond.

Obviously—you missed the point. Can’t be that dumb if I identified it’s in metric units. Your passive-aggressive is showing, too.

How stupid are you?

^you’re

@TomasDiziznitch Did you just incorrectly correct him with you're*? 🤣

@TomasDiziznitch 😆😂

I've seen Musk's Starlink which travels at about the same speed as the ISS. It is unmistakable.

Internet rule: account with “truth” in their name just lie all the time. And spam.

Mach doesn't make sense in a vacuum.

The phenomenon is called motion parallax: angular speed of distant objects seems much lower compared to nearby objects moving at the same actual speed. The brain interprets this slower change in angle as slower movement, even if the object has high actual velocity.

😂😂😂

@FilmSchoolRooki 😆😂🤔

It’s not at 100ft elevation moron.

The other night I seen something zip across the whole sky, north to south, in less than a second. Just a tiny little light, no trail/tail. Perfectly straight. Was 9pm.

It’s all about distance and angles. You think a commercial jet is traveling 5 mph because it “looks slow”?

I’m no rocket scientist, but I believe the iss orbits far higher than this.

now put it above, i'll make a schematic for you.

😆😆😆

😆😆😅

mach is irrelevant in space. There is no sound, hence no speed of sound. No airodynamics too, so by continuing acceralation there no limit to speed.

Did that straight jet account for earth’s curvature?

☝️🥳

I've got a tracker app on the phone for the iss... I remember seeing something reflecting light one evening sunset. I figured it was the iss. The tracker showed it being over the pacific just off the west coast. I'm in ontario, that's neat/weird to see something so far (~3800km)

Do these people not understand scale?

disappointed....this is one of your dumber ones

I’ve seen it and verified its speed. Try again.

Is the ISS traversing the earth at 10’ AGL now?

This is if it were 100 feet off the ground. The ISS orbits around 260 miles above ground in a low orbit. And it still flies over in seconds. It is very difficult to catch on film.

arc length.....

What's easier to observe: ➡️ A car going at 50 mph right in front of you ➡️ A distant plane going at 500 mph?

@TheGlobeIsDead

Yeah, but when it's 250 miles away, you can easily see it. I'm guessing you're too dim to understand that near things disappear out of your sight quicker than distant things!

🙄 Airplanes fly at hundreds of miles per hour, yet you can see them overhead.

How dumb can you be? And all just for a little attention.

If I go to the racetrack. The cars pass me much faster on the front straight than they do on the back straight .

That is correct representation of the fact that further from surface distance slows down speed perception and if take in consideration earth's rotation speed aswell in opposite direction

Why do all idiots have "truth" in their name, it's a pattern. #TruthSocial.

Yeah, but but but were cork screwing through the universe with it so so so so it looks a lot slower🤣🤣🤣
