@JoFroggatt @doctor_oxford We are *still* in a #pandemic (just ask @mvankerkhove). People (like the BBC it seems) were confused when the @WHO declared an end to the Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEOIC).

@JoFroggatt @doctor_oxford So many important, valid points made by Joanne and Rachel. But people are still going into our hospitals and catching covid from staff and other patients, with 1/10 of these infections proving fatal. We seem to have learnt nothing. Will BBC broadcast comments such as this?

@lunaperla @JoFroggatt @doctor_oxford Stop talking about it in the past tense Topol: "we continue to make-believe that the pandemic is over, that infections have been transformed to common cold status by prior exposure(s), and that life has returned to normal. Sadly, none of this is true"

@JoFroggatt @doctor_oxford I appreciate the honesty. Lots of ppl didn’t realise the reality of the situation back then in the same way, lots of ppl don’t understand the right now. Research now shows Covid harms beyond the acute & causes cumulative harm which can be silent at first until the tipping point.
