I solved building decks with AI agents — by giving them a CLI tool like Powerpoint or Google Slides. AI could already make a beautiful deck if you asked it to using Ant's pptx skill. The problem was working with it. If it made one alignment mistake, fixing it... on one slide would break something on another, and it became a game of whack-a-mole. One time I spent two days playing AI roulette, hoping the next prompt would finally fix the thing, and ended up building the whole deck by hand because I was on a deadline. So I built Hands-on Deck. And the reason it works is that this isn't just a skill — this is PowerPoint. The actual application: PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, whatever you use. This is that, but for an agent, presented as a CLI. Every gesture you make in a deck app maps to a command. Click a box and type, drag a shape from here to there, look at a slide – agent can do it all in a command. And that changes how the agent behaves. With this CLI it works and thinks like a designer — it looks, makes an edit, looks again, makes another surgical edit. Compare that to Anthropic's pptx skill, built on the idea that Claude is a great programmer: it literally writes code to manipulate the deck, hand-editing XML and hoping it doesn't break anything else in the middle. The real test isn't creating something once — it's whether it can make surgical edits like you want. That's what I did in this video walkthrough and my claude crushed it! Check it out for yourself. Design.md is an open source file from Google that captures the soul of a design. Typography, colors, spacing, all in one markdown file. My whole company runs on skills I bundled into a GitHub repo. Here's how to build the same thing for your team: - Put your skills in a GitHub repo - Get Claude to write the couple of JSON files that make it readable as a plugin - In Claude Code, type /plugin, go to marketplaces, add marketplace, paste your repo URL - Split the plugins by department, so your copywriter isn't installing the finance skills It works in Codex too. I've got the same team skills installed there and I use them the same way. Now when I build something like my Notion formatting skill, I add it to the repo and it lands on everyone's Claude and Codex. If someone wrecks a skill, we roll it back to an older version. The key is enabling auto-update, so when someone improves a skill everyone benefits. I don't have a clue how the JSON works. I got Claude to set the whole thing up for me. Start with one skill and before you know it your whole team will be AI pilled.

i dont think it makes sense to build in powerpoint or google slides anymore. people are wasting time getting AI to interface with them I'm building my own slide deck editor that's both a smart co-builder with AI (meant to be used in codex or claude code), and also has built in coaching tools like testing titles, storyline, and 5 and 10 second tests to see if your slides make sense. currently working on turning this into a codex plugin - may open source it soon, would love to hear if this is helpful

Right now, I have a few dozen tools to automate my life. Every single thing that I do more than once every week is now a tool: either a Claude Code skill, a scheduled workflow, or an application. • I spend the time doing this once. • I schedule it. • I forget about it (or at least, try to) CREAO is one of the platforms I've used extensively for building some of these automations. They are partnering with me on this post. They are one of the only platforms where you can go from a conversation to a scheduled agent that quickly. This is how it works: 1. You describe the problem you want to solve 2. CREAO's agent builds the logic and executes it 3. You can iterate with the agent to improve the solution 4. When you are done, you turn that solution into a mini app 5. You can schedule that app to run any time you need it Something important: These agents are deterministic. They don't use an LLM to generate answers, so they will always return the same output given the same input. This is critical: when you're automating something that runs every Monday at 9 am, you need it to return the same result every time, not a "creative" answer.

Imagine an AI application that can type anywhere you can and use the full context of what's on your screen. This is the application we all deserve (at least if you have macOS.) Check out Omnipilot. It's an app that works with every other macOS application and uses Claude Sonet 3.5 in the background—it also supports Gemini and GPT-4o. Here is the idea: You can use the tool to ask questions about anything on your screen. Or you can use it to autocomplete the text you are typing. You don't need to copy and paste anymore or waste your time providing context to a model. It sees what you see. It works right where you are. That's pretty cool. Here are a couple of cool examples: • Use it to reply to an email • Use it in the terminal to autocomplete a command • Use it to finish a document • Use to send a message on Slack AI at the system level is bonkers. Earlier this year I shared my market breadth Google sheet patched together with a static list of tickers and a simple Google apps script. Consider this an improvement over that which now uses data from the 1000 most traded stocks on NSE daily. It was completely vibe coded with Claude. It is mainly stuff I would want to look at before I approach a market day. The idea of this page isn't to help you take directional bets. It is simply data presented in a way that hopefully gives you a situational read of the current market environment. The page was made live only a couple of days back so I am yet to use it in action during a typical market day. Will iterate on the page based on my own experience over the coming days and weeks. Let me know if you find it useful or have some feedback that can make it so 🙂 Tip: it works on both mobile and desktop but I think it looks way better when you see the whole site on a widescreen.

How I have Claude automate anything I do on my computer just by showing it: I use the free Clips app and hit record to start recording. Then I just do the action - like navigating to Rippling and approving any unapproved time off - and I’ll often just talk out loud as I do it explaining any add’l details like I would when showing a human. The Clips app captures everything on your screen and everything you say, and transforms it into a format Claude can “see and hear”. You'll then get a link that you can easily share with Claude (or humans too). I’ll paste it to Claude and say something like, "automate this for me every day at 8:00 AM." The link has special metadata that agents like Claude can discover. It exposes APIs to see the full transcript with timestamps and grab screenshots of what was on your screen at any of those timestamps. Once it's created the routine, you can go to the Routines tab in Claude Code desktop app. This also works with the CLI, Claude Cowork, Codex etc. You’ll see your new routine there, and you can just hit Run Now to have it start running it. Video attached shows this step by step. The Clips apps is free and open source - I’ll link to it and the source code in the thread.

You can just tell Claude Code to learn skills and it will. I asked Claude to create an app that uses tldraw and it one shotted it with sqlite db, and then I asked Claude Code to create a skill so that it could read and write on the canvas. 10 minutes later it could do it. Weirrrrdddd times.

How to set up Claude Cowork so it actually works like an AI chief of staff (not just another chatbot): 1. Most people open Cowork, type a message, and get generic output. It's not a Claude problem. It's a setup problem. Cowork needs context before it can help you. Who you are. How you work. What you're building. Your team. Your priorities. Give it that, and every session feels like picking up a conversation with an executive assistant. 2. The setup has three layers: a) Global instructions (who you are, how you work, what Claude should never do). b) Connectors (Slack, Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion) c) And a folder structure on your computer that acts as Claude's long-term memory. That combination is what takes it from generic to personalized. 3. Skills are the real leverage. A skill is a markdown file that tells Claude exactly how to do one thing well. Write my newsletter. Coach me on a decision. Review a case study. Each skill lives in its own folder with context, examples, and a definition of what success looks like. 4. We built a CEO coach skill in the video below. Gave it business context, leadership style, company goals. Then tested it with a real decision: should we increase our newsletter from once to twice a week? It came back with trade-offs, second-order consequences, and risk assessment. 5. Then we built a multi-agent advisory board. Five subagents, each with a defined persona: a) the operator b) the skeptic c) the customer advocate d) the finance partner e) the legal/risk advisor. You feed it a decision. Each agent evaluates independently. The main agent synthesizes the feedback. It's like having a board meeting on demand. 6. Third skill: a thought leadership content pipeline. Topic scoring, idea capture, distribution cadence, tone calibration. All built from your actual expertise and audience. Designed so an executive can go from idea to published post without starting from scratch every time. 7. The workspace map is what ties it all together. It's a top-level file that shows Claude how to navigate your entire setup. Which folders exist, what skills live where, how to invoke them. Without it, Claude has to search for everything. With it, Claude goes straight to what it needs. 8. Everything you build is portable. The folder structure works in Cowork, Claude Code, and Codex. Push it to a private GitHub repo and you can access it from your phone through Claude Code, or use Claude Dispatch. 9. The pattern is repeatable. Pick a task you do often. Create a folder. Build a skill. Add examples of what success looks like, and what a bad output looks like. Test it. Workshop it. Move on to the next one. Each skill is like onboarding a new employee who never forgets and never needs to be re-trained. The people who invest in this setup now are the ones who will have a 10x advantage when these tools get even better. And they're getting better fast. My favorite way of interacting with Claude Code is to have it generate static HTML files as outputs (reports, explorations, code structure, mockups etc.) I wanted to iterate on the file by commenting in browser and having Claude update the output live. So, I built this Claude Skill👇 How it works: - Install Claude Code skill (ask it to clone repo) - Build an HTML page for anything (e.g. research coding agents and generate HTML report) - Ask it to make the page interactive That's it. CC will launch a localhost server and allow you to then leave comments on the page itself and once it updates, will give you a tour of changes. It's like Google Docs kind of comments/iteration but for HTML pages.

This is exactly what i was hoping for... - Full permissions - no "cowork" like feature which limits agent abilities - Just codex... If you ask for coding task it writes code and gives you a preview. If you ask for a presentation or doc it gives you a presentation or doc. Organized by project on the left side bar. Easy to create skills, easy to @ mention skills / plugins Btw my Readwise automation is insane. Every morning it codex sends me a deck of all my x bookmarks organized by topic. And i highly recommend using the excaladraw skill to render diagrams into docs.

I asked Garry Tan how to use meta prompting to get better at AI: "My partners at YC Jared Friedman and Pete Koomen showed me how to do this. You can take almost anything that you do all the time and just drop it into a context window. And then say, “Here’s a bunch of inputs and outputs." And maybe you also add a bunch of notes. And then you tell it, “Write me a prompt that can act as an agent that takes this input and makes this output over here.” You can do this for almost any type of knowledge work. And you can even introspect. "What are things you notice that I did to convert this from the input to the output?”. And then you can just start using the prompt. Initially, it’s going to suck. Because it’s just not that smart yet. But what’s funny is now, I also use it to Iterate my writing. You can be very direct, "I would never say that", "Don’t say it like this", or "Oh, you used the long word there, use the short word". Just speak to it conversationally. And then when you're happy with the output, you can use that new output to make a new prompt. "Based on this conversation, give me a better initial prompt that incorporates all the things we talked about." And you can do this with literally everything. And in theory, there’s so much it applies to that people do day-to-day. You could use it for tweets. You could use it for editing podcasts. You can use it for pretty much everything. I have a folder of prompts that I use all the time. My YouTube prompt is on v27 or something. I'll go through this process with all the different max models. I'll use GPT 5.2 Pro. I’ll use Grok. I'll use Claude. Then, I’ll take all the outputs from all the models and put them into Claude and say "Here’s my prompt, here’s the output from four LLMs, including yourself. Rate each response and tell me what the pros and cons of each approach are." And I usually say "give it to me in numbered form". And then you can agree with one, disagree with two, tell it three is this or that. And then after that, you say given all of this, synthesize it."
