Poor Jingyu looks like a lost puppy who’s still trying to do his best to offer comfort. I was surprised to learn that the Best Actor award that QingLang actually won may have been at the Cannes Film Festival — so no wonder it was such a big deal to the industry and cemented his status as film Emperor. But still laughing at how ChangYang actually just asked Wenshu for a favor to meet his idol and discuss about film and stuff. Only to end up getting bitten by a drunk bear. Add to this the fact that this was the only other secret that he kept from QingLang, not confirming that they've met each other two years prior to meeting in Molie. His skin was dark, and the compartment was dim, so the color was not particularly visible, but his cheeks grew as hot as though they were burning. He bargained, "Can I donate grain instead?" Changyang's command of language always surpassed Qinglang's. Beneath a thin covering of modesty, he managed to obtain everything he wanted. The conversation in the series confused me a little the first time I watched it, but it makes so much more sense now that I understand why QingLang had to consume so much adult material as part of his “research.” His award-winning role two years earlier was playing a tragic prostitute, and knowing how he takes all his roles seriously, it must have been quite an in-depth study😂 But the even funnier part is QingLang eventually putting all the clues together and realizing where ChangYang got the inspiration for his supposedly “natural talent.” 😂 So ChangYang wasn't exactly lying when he said he learned everything from a bear. 🐻😂 The problem is that ChangYang turned out to be an exceptionally gifted student and a shameless overachiever. One of the things that convinced me Xu ChangYang is greener than the Amazon rainforest is his ability to resist an incredibly seductive Feng QingLang—whether QingLang is drunk or merely exhausted. Have you ever noticed that conversations between ChangYang and QingLang seem to happen on two different levels? ⠀ There’s the literal meaning—the words themselves, the information being exchanged, the obvious conversation taking place on the surface. ⠀ And then there’s the unspoken meaning underneath it all, where a simple exchange suddenly becomes something much richer, deeper, and far more intimate. ⠀ Let’s unpack some of those underlying layers. ⠀ “Aren’t you going to ask if I passed?” “Is it even possible for you to fail?” ⠀ That is quite the ego boost to receive from the person you love, isn’t it? ⠀ QingLang is essentially telling ChangYang that, in his eyes, there is simply no way ChangYang can fail when he sets his mind to something. Considering QingLang knows exactly how capable he is, this isn’t empty praise. It is an absolute vote of confidence from someone whose opinion matters deeply to him. ⠀ No wonder ChangYang can’t help but smile. ⠀ But there’s another layer to that exchange. ⠀ What QingLang is really expressing is his complete faith in ChangYang.
