Anytime I criticize this show I feel like such an asshole because it means so much to be but it do some issues that w/ very little tweaks could’ve made it just so much better😭 still my 2nd favorite show tho

Kinger is of the flat character archetype which means he’s basically a character who serves the narrative by not changing, his development isn’t the focus but instead the focus is on him helping with the development of other characters, a common trope in lot of fiction I love.

i get it and im not sayign this trope is inherently bad i just dont really think it works in this kind of show where its meant to explore human complexity and his complexity is having a dead wife😭😭but like it doesnt really matter thats just my opinion

I think that’s fair but I disagree mostly because Kinger being the odd one out is kind of his thing in the show so I think it fits and he still contributes to the themes
