🩷 : I bought a self-improvement book about how to get better at talking to people. I’m really not good at making conversation, especially with people I’m not close to. The version of me around my friends and my fans is exactly the same, but when I’m around other people, I’m actually not very good at making conversation. I was talking with my friends about a conversation I had with a celebrity I follow on social media, even though we’re not close. For example a break after album promotions, or when I need a breather. And I'd like to go somewhere like Jeju or somewhere overseas to live for a month or two before, what do all of you think? It's ok? I can do it? : Unnie you've been wanting to do this for a long time, please just go 🐶 But people for a schooling or working, you should know this. Living somewhere else for a month, it's a difficult decision to make. Because you have to move things backwards if you were to do it. But I really want to try to do it at least once. I felt many things whenever I go on vacations. Rather than saying I'm seeing more things than my daily lives, it makes me think of my 2nd life. I'm the type that has alot of thoughts. This Town was released 10 years ago today. it was the first song i released out on my own and it’s so special to me for many reasons. when i think back i remember a lot of big pop songs with big productions , around at that time. i feel This Town stood out as it was just one voice and an acoustic guitar. after that, you guys all over the world really connected to it and it took on a life of its own. to reach over a billion streams and see you all singing it back to me all these years later , is absolutely unbelievable . i’ll never really be able to explain how grateful i am for all of this and for your support. a few words on stage , a short caption is not enough words to explain how thankful i am. i’m working on a few special things to celebrate that will be coming very soon. it was my song and now it’s ours happy 10 years of this town ❤️

I’m 55 years old. I own a multimillion dollar plastic resin distribution and resale business which I started in 2003. I started another business selling rugs and home goods. Why? I want to show my kids what is possible. I also want to inspire others with my actions and sharing them on this platform. I’m teaching my kids, and others the value of time. Time should be our #1 priority. If you work a 9-5, you are strapped to a desk, punching a clock, rushing to be there on time, negotiating for PTO, putting in your vacation time early to get the week you want. Just typing this gives me anxiety. I lived that life for 6 years in my late 20’s and one day, I just left. Gave my 2 weeks notice and had no idea what I was going to do. The day I walked out that door, my uncommon life started. For the past 23 years, I do what I want, when I want, for however long I want. I’ve attended every one of my kids games, doctors appointments, and school functions. I take 7 vacations/year and have the freedom to play golf anytime I want. People often asked me if I had a job 😏 when I’d be the only parent at my son’s college baseball game at 2pm on a Wednesday in the middle of Pennsylvania. Does this mean I don’t work hard? Quite the opposite. Technology has given me the ability to work anywhere. I’ve made deals on the beach, the golf course, at Disneyworld, at a dentist appointment, everywhere. I’ve tried it. It sucks to manage drama everyday. We run lean and mean. Same for the new business. Our time is always the priority. If an idea interferes with my freedom, it doesn’t happen. Just my philosophy, you can disagree and have different priorities, but we only have so much time left on this earth and you really don’t NEED to feel strapped to a 9-5. You just need to take action. No action means no progress. It’s means nothing changes. You don’t need a 3000 sq. ft. house, 2 car payments, a Rolex, designer clothes, etc. Scale back and start valuing time. I’ll be teaching you how to live an uncommon life like me because I believe in Karma. #onelife

I’m 55 years old. I own a multimillion dollar plastic resin distribution and resale business which I started in 2003. I started another business selling rugs and home goods. Why? I want to show my kids what is possible. I also want to inspire others with my actions and sharing them on this platform. I’m teaching my kids, and others the value of time. Time should be our #1 priority. If you work a 9-5, you are strapped to a desk, punching a clock, rushing to be there on time, negotiating for PTO, putting in your vacation time early to get the week you want. Just typing this gives me anxiety. I lived that life for 6 years in my late 20’s and one day, I just left. Gave my 2 weeks notice and had no idea what I was going to do. The day I walked out that door, my uncommon life started. For the past 23 years, I do what I want, when I want, for however long I want. I’ve attended every one of my kids games, doctors appointments, and school functions. I take 7 vacations/year and have the freedom to play golf anytime I want. People often asked me if I had a job 😏 when I’d be the only parent at my son’s college baseball game at 2pm on a Wednesday in the middle of Pennsylvania. Does this mean I don’t work hard? Quite the opposite. Technology has given me the ability to work anywhere. I’ve made deals on the beach, the golf course, at Disneyworld, at a dentist appointment, everywhere. This doesn’t sound good. American schools requiring you submit the deed to your house and get it notarized and returned to them in order to register your kids for school “I started registering my son for kindergarten and it is insane. I need to know if anybody else's town requires; Deed to our home, driver's license, property tax bill, a closing disclosure, a current monthly mortgage statement, and utility bills. Okay, fine, fine. Proof that you live in the town. Fine. I'm okay with that. I'm okay with it. But what else do you need to do: You need to take those documents and you need to get them notarized. So I take my documents, I go and I get it notarized. There's about a 20 page packet that you need to fill out. Okay, fine. Fill that out, hard copy, you print it at home. All 20 pages. You fill it all out, you call the office of the school and you say, hey, I have my paperwork done. Oh, no, no, no, no. You need to do step two. I'm sorry, what? What is step two? It's the online application. Oh, what? Yes. You need to take the hard copy of the 20 pages that you just filled out, plus the notarized form of all that documentation, and you need to upload all of that online and then fill out another online form. Why? Is it absurd? Is it.”
