You're gonna notice some pages are buttery smooth to transition to… enter the magic of App Router giving you fast initial load, but with app-like transitions.¹ Some others take longer, like "Art > Curatorial Areas" below. And that's fine. What they're doing is using Vercel as CDN proxy to the old monolith while the transformation continues. This is exactly how I'd do it, and even how we migrated Vercel from Pages Router to App Router. Remember: there's two types of migrations: incremental, and failed ones. ¹ Frameworks like Next.js, Svelte⁠kit, Nuxt, embrace this. Fast transitions ftw!
