I was paralyzed from the chest down almost six years ago and leaving the hospital was actually extremely hard for me. I grew a close bond with everyone who took care of me. Nurses, respiratory therapists, even janitors. I was hospitalized for a total of two months and the transition back home to live a regular (or as close to it as I could get) life was extremely difficult.
