Holy shit, is this the Japanese dub of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers? Man, must've been a trip for Japanese kids to learn Zyuranger is back on TV after 2 years, now airing alongside Ohranger. But then, they find out someone's different.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is the American version of Zyuranger. Somehow, Japan one-upped the game and gave us a Japaneae dub of an Americanized version of a Japanese Super Sentai series. Mind blown.

Fun fact: Power Rangers Samurai also got a JP dub! I recall Japanese messages boards at the time liking it more than Shinkenger because it was "more mature, with a Hollywood style"
Ngl, kinda feels weird watching the Howling Cannon transformation, like the add-on effects the MMPR editors did for the Power Blaster sequence made it a bit more interesting 😅

No fair. I have the English version stuck in my head when the super weapons reveal themselves (power weapons).
When I first found out about this, I didn't know that they re-dubbed Power Rangers into Japanese (I thought they already have Super Sentai). And they also dubbed Turbo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, S.P.D., Mystic Force, and Samurai.
You're gonna get surprised with the whole Green Ranger subplot + Bandora's motives and Big Bad. The West has been robbed big time from the Dairanger and Kakuranger seasons.
